Wordless Wednesday - Courtship Bauble Ornament

Sorry I can't go wordless today. Following is the explanation behind this courtship ritual.
I purchased the ornament for my mom, the quilter, when we were on vacation in New England.

WOW....very interesting!! I truly can't imagine this but then again if they were to hear of our life in these days they would most likely say the same to us..."I can't imagine??" LOL

Happy HUMP day :)

Very interesting!!

At least they had to court her and didn't just "get" her!

Huh. That is really neat!! I'm glad I don't have to pick a guy to date that way...

This was a new tradition to me, and I enjoyed reading about it. So I'm glad you, too, weren't totally wordless today. :)

Although I do have to say, before I read about it, I was going to ask if you made that and tell you what a great job you did with what must be microscopic pieces!!!

That is beautiful and I so love the story behind it. Kind of scary if you are a girl....what if it is a creeper who catches it. Ha ha.
