There was a juke box playing oldies and so many smile-inducing antiques -- I loves me some nostalgia! In addition to antiques on display in the restaurant, they have an antiques and treasures shop. We were all pointing and telling stories about things like our old metal lunch boxes ...
Counter seating was available, but we took a table in the back. I had a fantastic egg salad sandwich with Hawaiian cole slaw and Hubby ordered the special -- a meatloaf sandwich and a cup of cream of broccoli soup. It was delicious and the service was great.
There were fun old things to look at everywhere ...
Now who wouldn't want this phone booth in their home? Of course, in this day and age it would be for cell phones ...
But, come on, this is a soda fountain so you know what we were really there for ...
Hubby and I split this banana split, one of his favorite childhood treats -- words cannot even begin to express ...
Then we went home and passed out like we'd been on a bender. It was a lovely day and a pretty lazy weekend!

Wow! What a great place! I would love to sit there and have a soda or milkshake!
I would have passed out too after eating that. I love a place like that that is full of nostalgia.

Looks & sounds like a wonderful day :0)
Soda Fountains. I remember when I was a kid we would stop at this place, and always get a cherry coke. No cherry coke ever compares to the taste of those.
That is so cool. I don't think we have ANY of these in Utah left.
Wow! That is so cool! What a fun place. Brings back good memories. In my home town there used to be a soda shop/drug store. We used to get fun treats like that!! Yum!!
