Love the ostrich pics! I would love to show one to my son.... Actually, despite the snow, the day those pics were taken, it was actually hot out! Snow was melting like crazy... Thanks for visiting our site...hope to see you again!
Too funny. Looks a little like a few people I know--this guy doesn't want to miss a thing! I hope your flu bug's gone now so you can fully enjoy the good weather!
There are definitely some far out festivals going on everywhere. Just watch all the different food festivals they show on the Food Network -- the corn festival, the squash festival, the garlic festival. There is something for everyone. Since we closed our business -- a year ago this month! -- we had decided to try to do all the things we missed because we were too busy or too exhausted. So far, we've been to Prescott, Arizona's Frontier Days (4th of July celebration), Glendale Glitters (Christmas festival), the Chocolate Affaire (Valentine's festival) and the Ostrich Festival (uhhhh, is there a holiday for this?)!!! Check, check, check and check!
My in-laws reported from an Alaska trip that they were going to a cabbage weigh-in. I thought "WEI-RD", until I found out they grow to 30-40 pounds during the long summer up there. That's a lot of coleslaw.

Hard to tell from the angle - is this a real ostrich or a hand-puppet?
It's real. Went to the Ostrich Festival in Chandler, Arizona. Have more pics to post, just haven't gotten around to it yet. :-)

Hilarious! They do look like mug shots, lol.
I think he's eying your camera lens!
There must be a festival for everything under the sun somewhere on Earth. We are a celebratory species!
