very interesting -- I don't think I've seen this form of knitting before. thx for sharing your work and photos
Are you KIDDING me?! It looks like a Houdini escape trick. Wow.
It think it looks weird and medieval. Knitting in the round on double pointed needles is used on a lot of wearable items, mostly socks. Thanks for stopping by!
It is bizarre looking, but the beauty of it is that you have no seams to sew when finished, just ends to weave in.
Wow - that's really interesting. I used to knit, but have never attempted anything that complicated!
I am pretty new at knitting in the round. Had to start this hat 3 times to keep the stitches from getting twisted. ;-)
I wanna be able to do that!
How fun!! Knitting in the round makes for some cool photos.
That is so cool that you can knit "old school" without the help of those plastic things that I use. :)
That's what I thought. It's a different perspective on knitting.
Knitting gives me a sense of peace although I will admit getting this project started on the double pointed needles took away a little serenity for a while. ;-)
It's an amazing craft to learn. I love that I am literally taking a piece of yarn and making fabric out of it.
I can't knit..sew...crochet...or anything similar...LOL! I am all thumbs...however, give me an instrument... Thanks for visiting our blog...come again soon! :)
I have a guitar which is sorely neglected and dusty. Need to add that into the routine. :-) If you can play an instrument, you can do fiber crafts!
So that's how that stuff is made. *pretending she's not all confused by the four needles* I'll be taking a class in crocheting. I foresee a lot of wonky doilies and oven pads in the near future. LOL :)
They tried to teach me how to crochet as a child -- my grandma and great-grandma were amazing crocheters -- but I just couldn't get it. They said it was because I am left-handed. I'd still like to learn. I have taught myself to crochet around the borders of my knitted stuff for a nice finished edge, but that's it. Good luck with your crocheting class. Make yourself some cotton dish cloths, one of my favorite things that I make for myself and gifts. And just have fun!!!
